Gatliff Building 1867 (Thomas Cundy III) London

This is a variation on Streatham Street Model Houses but with a more utilitarian resolution to the galleries. The exterior, however, has a more decorative character. Two ornate entries are reached via four steps bridging over an area. On both the exterior and interior the building has an ambiguous relationship to the ground.
